Wellness Forest Estate

Set within a remarkable estate nearby a national park, surrounded by private woodland, this project redefines the relationship between heritage and contemporary living. Adjacent to a monumental manor, an existing non-original barn is replaced by a refined wellness building, carefully integrated into the landscape.

The new structure is designed as a calm, horizontal volume that respects the scale and character of the estate, while introducing a contemporary architectural layer. It accommodates a private wellness experience including a swimming pool, gym, sauna, and steam bath, combined with generous outdoor spaces. The design is guided by the natural qualities of the site. Subtle height differences in the terrain are used to create a unique spatial experience, where architecture and landscape flow seamlessly into one another.

With a strong focus on views, materiality, and connection to nature, the project creates a tranquil retreat that complements the historic setting while offering a distinctly modern identity.
